We are Jeannine and Maik Huneke and are originally from Germany. We moved to England with our 3 children and our german shepherd dog Ginger in 2017 and onwards to New Zealand in 2019 and are living in sunny Hawkes Bay.
Jeannine: Ginger is family, my best friend and favourite hobby. Therefore, I was involved into dog activities in Germany, England and now in New Zealand. I am a member of the SV (german german shepherd association) since 2015 and now with dogsNZ here. In England I was a member of the New Forest Working Trials Club in which Ginger was happily active.
Breeding german shepherd was not our goal from the beginning. But, encouraged by vets, friends from dog training amd others, we looked into it more and more and developed a passion.
We breed with our dog Ginger, which is from a working breed. We and a lot of friends in the dog clubs appreciate her character, effort and loyalty.
Ginger shows all we like to see in a german shepherd dog. We breed healthy and active family dogs with a steady character which fits into a family and could also be active in dog training or sports.
